Soundwave – Homebush Bay, Sydney, Sunday 27th February
The organisers of Soundwave decided at the last minute to move the event from the Eastern Creek Raceway to the Sydney Showground at Homebush Bay. The move was well received – easier to get to on public transport and no dustclouds! Headlining the bill were Iron Maiden (who of course fly around in their own passenger jet). The day was perfect for the event – overcast with just a sprinkle of rain and not too hot.
